Rublev's patience. If the top seed is content to construct points and let his weight of shot do the work over four or five balls, the class gap should tell comfortably. The danger only arrives if he presses for winners too early, gifts a break, and lets a low-ranked opponent believe. Pellegrino's route is entirely dependent on that door opening.

The call

Everything points to a straightforward win for the favourite. Pellegrino is a capable, awkward clay-courter who can make the first set uncomfortable if Rublev starts slow after the bye, but the difference in weapons over the course of the match is simply too large.
